Hot-dip galvanized steel coil (GI) is made by passing a fully hardened steel sheet through a zinc pan that has undergone a pickling and rolling process, thereby coating the surface with a zinc film. Due to the properties of zinc, it has excellent corrosion resistance, paintability and workability. Typically, hot-dipped galvanized steel sheets and galvanized steel coils have essentially the same process and specifications.
